Dr Stephanie Sowerby 
Registered Midwife 

Stephanie is a registered Midwife with a vast range of knowledge and
experience in the field of midwifery. She trained in the UK and has now
settled in Western Australia working as a community based midwife. After
qualifying from the University of Northumbria in 2012, Stephanie went on
to work as a hospital based midwife for 4 years and then as a community
midwife for around a year, before, moving to WA in 2016.

Prior to joining Perth Maternity, Stephanie was a hospital based midwife at
Fiona Stanley Hospital. Her ultimate midwifery focus is to provide
women-centered care that is holistic and I believe that continuity of care
and informed decision making maximises the chance of an empowered
pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.
